Whether the project is a kitchen, bathroom, whole-home remodel, addition, custom home, exterior living space, or project recovery, we begin by understanding what success looks like, identifying the constraints, and determining the right level of planning before work begins.
Kitchen
A successful kitchen remodel starts with function, target investment, and decisions - not demolition. BRJ coordinates the construction while our affiliated showroom and design resource, KBR Design, can support cabinetry, countertops, flooring, and selections. Keeping those decisions connected reduces handoffs between design, product, and field execution.

Some kitchens need a complete layout change; others are better served by working intelligently within the existing footprint. We evaluate the space, priorities, existing conditions, and budget first, then develop the level of design and construction that makes sense for the project.

Bathroom
Bathrooms are compact spaces where waterproofing, ventilation, plumbing, clearances, storage, lighting, and finish details all have to work together. BRJ handles projects ranging from focused fixture-and-finish updates to complete reconfigurations, custom tile showers, and accessibility improvements.

When aging-in-place or mobility is part of the goal, we can evaluate low-threshold or curbless shower options, blocking for grab bars, improved clearances, safer flooring, seating, handheld controls, and layouts that work better now while allowing for future needs.
Basement
A finished basement can add useful living space without changing the footprint of the home, but it needs to be planned correctly. We evaluate layout, moisture conditions, insulation, egress, heating and cooling, electrical needs, and code requirements before the finish work begins.

Basements can become offices, family rooms, guest areas, playrooms, gyms, or multi-use spaces. The right solution depends on how the household actually needs to use the space.

Remodeling
BRJ’s remodeling work ranges from targeted renovations to whole-home transformations. We handle additions, ADUs and in-law spaces, structural layout changes, historic-home renovations, and projects where multiple rooms and trades have to come together under one plan.

For larger projects, our design-build approach allows scope, design, code and site constraints, selections, permitting, cost, and construction planning to develop together instead of becoming separate problems later in the process.
Custom Homes
A custom home should not move from concept to construction as a collection of disconnected decisions. BRJ coordinates the front end of the project - site and code considerations, design development, engineering and specialty consultants when required, selections, constructability, pricing, and construction planning - so the home is defined before major field commitments are made.

During construction, BRJ manages field execution, trade partners, scheduling, inspections, documentation, and client communication. The same team carries the intent of the project from planning into the build.
Exterior Spaces
New England outdoor spaces have to look right, function well, and hold up to the climate. BRJ builds and renovates decks, porches, screened rooms, pergolas, pavilions, garages, and other exterior living spaces.

We can replace an aging structure, improve an existing outdoor area, or design something new that feels like it belongs with the home rather than looking like an afterthought.

Project Rescue & Recovery
Projects do not always go as planned. A contractor may disappear, workmanship may be unacceptable, costs may get out of control, or a project may simply stall with no clear path forward.

BRJ can step in to assess existing conditions, document what has been completed, identify deficiencies, determine what still needs to happen, and create a realistic recovery plan. From there, we can coordinate the corrective work and move the project toward completion with structure and accountability.
